The High Commission of Canada in Bangladesh hosted a seminar in Dhaka titled “Feeding the Future: Canadian Canola Meal and Pulses for High-Performance Animal Diets,” aiming to strengthen collaboration with Bangladesh’s feed sector.
Organized in partnership with the Feed Industries Association of Bangladesh and supported by Pulse Canada and the Canola Council of Canada, the event brought together over 50 participants from feed mills, research institutions, and import companies.

They also stressed the need for diversified feed sources to manage rising costs and ensure supply stability amid growing demand for animal protein in Bangladesh.
Debra Boyce noted that Canada remains committed to supporting Bangladesh’s expanding livestock sector through reliable, high-quality agricultural products.
Participants showed keen interest in future collaboration, including technical partnerships and feed trials, signaling stronger trade ties between the two countries in the agriculture sector.
