Pretoria, 30 July 2025:
The Bangladesh High Commission in Pretoria inaugurated a weeklong event titled “July Beyond Borders” to commemorate the anniversary of the July Revolution and honor the July freedom fighters.
The opening ceremony was attended by around 50 Bangladeshi professionals residing in South Africa.
High Commissioner Shah Ahmed Shafi welcomed the guests and led a one-minute silence in memory of the July martyrs. Guests later viewed a photography and graffiti exhibition, followed by the screening of a documentary film.
The exhibition will remain open from 30 July to 5 August 2025, daily from 9 AM to 5 PM (Saturday until 2 PM, closed on Sunday). On 4 August, the exhibition will be exclusively open to foreign diplomats.
The program will conclude on 5 August with a special prayer for the souls of the July martyrs, marking the end of the “July Beyond Borders” commemorative week.
